Location was ideal for visiting other places and a beautiful setting especially the sunrise on a good day... comfortable, relaxing house and room, very quiet...hosts Ben and V were very welcoming and nothing was too much if needed anything . breakfast was fab especially the toast...lovely local pub within walking distance The Pheasant inn... great value for money would definitely book again.

The Dash Farmhouse offers self-catering accommodation just 4 miles from Bassenthwaite village, 37 km from Windermere. The property is set in 200 acres of farmland and features free private parking. This is really an extraordinary place! It’s set in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by fabulous views, sheep and other farm animals. I have never been to a place so peaceful and serene. If you like remote vacations- this place is absolutely perfect. The hosts were great and very helpful to us when wu had a mishap with the car on our first day.

Ten wiktoriański wiejski pensjonat położony jest 5 minut spacerem od jeziora Bassenthwaite. Z okien roztacza się widok na las i wzgórza. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice, the room was clean and tidy, the garden was great to sit in with a glass of wine.

Lakeside Country Guest House is situated in front of Bassenthwaite Lake with mountain views which can be enjoyed from the front bedrooms. It is ideally located between from Keswick and Cockermouth. Beautiful house, confy room, AMAZING breakfast, kind hosts!

The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper.
