Location was ideal for visiting other places and a beautiful setting especially the sunrise on a good day... comfortable, relaxing house and room, very quiet...hosts Ben and V were very welcoming and nothing was too much if needed anything . breakfast was fab especially the toast...lovely local pub within walking distance The Pheasant inn... great value for money would definitely book again.

The Dash Farmhouse offers self-catering accommodation just 4 miles from Bassenthwaite village, 37 km from Windermere. The property is set in 200 acres of farmland and features free private parking. This is really an extraordinary place! It’s set in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by fabulous views, sheep and other farm animals. I have never been to a place so peaceful and serene. If you like remote vacations- this place is absolutely perfect. The hosts were great and very helpful to us when wu had a mishap with the car on our first day.

A 5-minute walk from Bassenthwaite Lake, this Victorian country guest house has forest and fells views and offers chic bedrooms, free high speed WiFi throughout the property. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice, the room was clean and tidy, the garden was great to sit in with a glass of wine.

Accommodation was excellent, everything you needed under one small roof!! The location was superb with lovely surrounding views, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Nothing to complain. Clean, great location, comfy, enough space for us and has everything we need for a good time on holidays. We are already planning next year here again for the 3rd time.

Our stay at Apple Tree Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable. The property was very well looked after and immaculately clean. The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the finishing touches such as a welcome note with our names written on the front door porch blackboard. It was a nice thought and made us feel special. Thank you. 😊👌
