Set in Kelso, 41 km from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema, SCHLOSS Roxburghe, part of Destination by Hyatt offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Staff was very attentive and very friendly whoever you spoke to and they all made sure we had a good experience. The food was really good too. The newer area of the hotel was very nicely decorated and clean, and the old part of the estate still had a very cosy feeling, especially the bar in the "library" where we could sit and have a few drinks after dinner.

Full breakfast upgrade as well as the steak dinner and roast beef dinner were very well prepared by Curt. All can be recommended. Also great thnks to Tony Wood of Well Fed a few doors along who took care of the breakfast while Susie, Curt, their kid Rosie an Lowie and the dog Hugo started their holidays. A great place to stay if you want to discover the Borders. To be fully recommended.

The new owners took an excellent inn and have transformed it into an excellent restaurant with rooms. The food is very good without being unnecessarily elaborate. The staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel like you belong there.

Around 25 miles from central Edinburgh, Black Bull enjoys a prominent location in the pretty Scottish Borders town of Lauder. We loved absolutely everything. Great room and bathroom with everything we needed. The staff was so friendly and polite. Food and drinks at the pub were awesome as well. Can highly recommend a stay here.

Elibank Apartment is very comfortable, well-equipped accommodation in a lovely setting. There are lots of good walking/cycle paths in the area and easy access to Borders towns such as Peebles, Innerleithen, Selkirk, Melrose and Kelso. The nearest village, Walkerburn (2.5 miles) has a great cafe (Caberston Farm), a local grocery, a play-park and some nice riverside walking. Our hosts - Eleanor, Adam and Rosemary - were helpful and always ready to chat, whilst giving us plenty of space.

Really happy with the hotel. Once I worked out the buses, it was a perfect place to stay. Really couldn't have asked for more for the price. The only problem - and this is on booking.com not the hotel - it's NOT IN JEDBURGH. It's in Denholm, which is more Hawick way. That really messed up my plans in terms of getting around the borders. Could have cost me a taxi fare or too. As it was it just cost me a few hours of my time in buses.

This is a beautiful building, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The quality of food at breakfast and dinner was outstanding. There is so much venturing to be done around the borders, it's lovely to know that you can you come back to some delicious food and relax in one of the bars. Beautifully decorated apartment with access to full facilities. Washing machine and dishwasher were a life saver! Bed was extremely comfortable and cosy. The apartment is located 30 seconds away from the town centre and parking is available. Ella and Leo were fantastic hosts, really friendly and happy to check in with a message day to day to make sure the stay was going well. We will definitely be staying here again on our trips to the Borders.

The Gordon Arms Hotel is very Covid aware. The room we were allocated was Number 1 and greatly exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was as substantial as you wanted it to be, the evening meal menu was excellent, the staff were very attentive and kind. The hotel is very central for getting out and about in the Scottish Borders all be it is in isolated position in the Yarrow Valley
