Featuring a garden, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The Antelope Hotel is set in Merthyr Tydfil, 40 km from Cardiff University and 42 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus. We booked and owner Claire was in touch to ask with my requirements if any. I requested microwave which was kindly provided. Upon arrival I was given nice & clear instructions for shelf check-in. All good. We had nice few chats with owner couple Claire and Neil about things to do around as our trip was not so preplanned. We followed their instructions and visited places around and enjoyed. Room and facility itself was clean and we tried to kept it clean as well -:) bathroom looked newly refurbished but one issue was of extractor fan needed to be on to keep drainage smell sway. May be manageble change owners can take care of. Bed mattress was different than what we used to use at home so bit of awkward side but not owners fault. But clean though. Breakfast I did enjoyed all 3 mornings.very Good overall experience and would definitely book it again and visit the nice couple Claire and Neil again. While we checked in, Neil even helped us taking luggage back to car. Very kind. Parking facility behind the hotel is very good. I would definitely recommend the hotel to tourists and travellers of beautiful Brecon Beacon area of Wales.

This family run hotel in in a big old house. Rooms have a terrific view over the village and landscape. The owner manager and his partner are lovely people and he cooks the best Full English breakfast I've ever ahd (cooked fresh to order). Very convenient for hay on Wye bt also a great base to explore Brecon area.

The New White Lion is located in Llandovery. Free WiFi access is available. There is also an electric kettle. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. I spent four nights in a well appointed, quiet and large room with an excellent shower. Mark and Karen were congenial hosts who were extremely attentive to my needs. Karen prepared a wonderful breakfast of my choice from her menu. The location is a great choice for exploring the interior of South Wales.

A 4-start boutique hotel with an award-winning restaurant set in the beautiful Towy Valley at the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by castles, country houses and the National... The lady at the front desk was super efficient with the check in and check out The room was lovely and clean with a great view Scrumptious breakfast -lovely porridge

This former coaching inn is set on the edge of Brecon Beacons, in the historic market town of Abergavenny. The Angel Hotel offers a restaurant, bar, and free Wi-Fi. I loved the vibe in this hotel. Very characteristic but also modern comforts. Lots of activity in the bars and restaurants. Very lively. Beautiful spacious room. Friendly people. I loved the restaurant. We had the best meal of our trip to Wales here. Breakfast was outstanding. Great table service, drink top ups. Loved the hospitality. The town is lovely as well. Parking lot behind the hotel.

The Castle Hotel has a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and water sports facilities in Talgarth. Great people, couldn't be more helpful. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

In Hay-on-Wye, The Swan at Hay is positioned between the Brecon Beacons and The Black Mountains. Staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant. Fantastic location.

In Crickhowell, in the Brecon Beacons, The Bear dates back to 1432. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, old world charm and good food. Awarded Inn of the Year 2010 by the Good Pub Guide. Outstanding restaurant; lamb cooked to perfection, good selection of wines, attentive staff. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, parking facilities are adequate. Hotel staff is friendly and competent.
