Originally built in 1840, Spilman Hotel is a family-run hotel that offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking, right in the heart of the market town of Carmarthen. What a surprise! Newly renovated room, very clean and spacious. Located right in the heart of the city, secure parking for bikes. Best of all is the lady at reception, that also does the breakfeast. In all my years travelling I can not remember meeting somebody as freindly and helpful! Thank you very much again for helping me getting an early start with a full breakfeast!

Jabajak Vineyard Restaurant & Rooms er staðsett í Whitland, 23 km frá Oakwood-skemmtigarðinum, og býður upp á gistingu með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. the property was gorgeous. beautifully manicured lawns and gardens. it was relaxing to sit out on the grass and enjoy a house wine. there were also tables and chairs on the grass or some outdoor couches to sit and enjoy the view. the vineyard is a small boutique one but is well kept and the grapes produced a lovely white wine. everything about Jabajak was top score. from the welcome I received from Steve the owner, to the friendly, attentive service from Steve, his wife Jackie and their staff. the food was absolutely beautiful and well presented. I was treated like a friend and not just another guest, and that is quite rare. the only negative I have is that they only had the one night available for my stay. it was such a pleasurable experience I could have stayed longer. a perfect spot for a romantic or just an escape from it all weekend property. well done Steve and Jackie.

We were able to use the well equipped kitchen to prepare our dinner and have breakfast the next morning. It’s just off National Cycle Route 4 on the ridge, so convenient stopover.
