First of all, the Isle of Arran is remarkable, every square inch of it, and worth a visit. We arrived at sunset to the hotel, so we didn't spend any real time in the village, but Corrie doesn't appear to be a bustling place. I was stunned and awed by the view just across the street, and had an incredibly fulfilling and cozy dinner in the restaurant. Every person (and dog) I encountered was so down to earth and friendly, I will remember this brief stay with great fondness.

The Isle of Arran is beautiful and the Douglas Hotel is the ideal place to stay and enjoy your time when not sightseeing or shopping. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds are very comfortable, the staff are super friendly and efficient and the food in the Bistro is just amazing. We loved our 3 nights here.

Great location, fabulous welcoming hospitality and a very comfortable room. The icing on the cake was the standard of cuisine. Each night a different three course meal with several options was on offer. We highly recommend these - beautifully cooked and flavours to die for. The breakfast offering was also to a very high standard. We will be back!
