The host had supplied fresh eggs from her hens, local cheese, oatcakes aswell as some local beer. Lots of information supplied in a book in the lodge along with maps. Fully stocked with everything you could need. The lodge was very clean. The sheep's, hens and other animals all come up to the lodge which we thoroughly enjoyed. A break away from internet and distractions was a dream.

On Scotland’s far west coast, The Mission Bunkhouse in Mallaig offers simple hostel accommodation right opposite the train station and seconds from the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry terminal. Very good place, few steps from ferry. Also the supermarket is in front of the accomodation. Nice terrace for lunch/dinner.

This is truly the best place we’ve stayed in Scotland. If you come to Mallaig, we would recommend not taking the train back right away, but treat yourself to a stay at this cosy two-room bed and breakfast. (And book in advance). The host is super super nice and considerate, and the rooms have a beautiful view over the harbor. The restaurant is also worth a visit. Lovely people, relaxing atmosphere - and you really feel pampered in the best way possible. It feels like the best place to be in Mallaig. We needed a relaxing break on our trip, and this was where we got it. We were super tired when we arrived, and this place just made our trip the best one yet. We cannot recommend the Cornerstone enough. We are definitely staying here again, when we come back.

The breakfast was brilliant and the staff who cooked and served it were fantastic. The rooms are warm, dry, clean and comfortable with plenty of space for hanging clothes. The bar area is great and the food is excellent.

Location is awesome. 2 blocks from CalMac ferry terminal, 1 block around the corner from Scotrail. So quiet, warm, we'll appointed. Fridge, kettle., ensuite. Shops close by. Excellent for foot travelers. Landlady could not have been more welcoming. Thank you
