We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Sneaton Castle. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Everything was well maintained. The attention to detail was very good. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We dined at the restaurant one evening and the food was first rate. Great chefs here. They even created a special birthday cake which was the best we have had period. I could not fault Sneaton Castle in any way.

The Feathers Hotel, Helmsley, North Yorkshire is in the centre of Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park. It has 3 bars, and en suite rooms, some of which have views of Helmsley’s Castle. We had a tiny but cosy room, spotlessly clean. Drinks and food (both dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The location is excellent, right on the market square, and parking overnight on the street nearby was free.

The owners had thought of everything and there were lots of little extras included that you wouldn’t get in other hotels. The location was also excellent with top class bars and restaurants right by the hotel as well as bakeries and coffee shops for breakfast.
