The Crown Inn Pooley Bridge has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Pooley Bridge. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The staff were so welcoming and helpful from start to finish. The Crown Inn, is well located and is very charming. An excellent combination of traditional with a modern twist. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast. We stayed in room 17 which was on the top floor and had beautiful views of the lake. All in all, our stay was everything we could have wished for and we will definitely be back.

Located in the market town of Penrith, The North Gate-way to the Lake District National Park, Foundry 34 offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a brasserie restaurant, and bar. Had an excellent evening meal. Comfortable room and good shower. The breakfast was one of the best. The staff were first class. Have stayed before and would do again.

Located in Penrith in Cumbria, just 7 miles from the Lake District Park, The Lounge Hotel & Bar offers a restaurant and a bar, just 5 miles from Lake Ullswater. The location and staff is superb.

Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers bedrooms with attached bathroom and TVs. This was a last minute booking due to travel disruption and we were highly impressed with the Brantwood Hotel, the pictures don’t do it justice. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the Hotel has many quirky designs in it architecture. The food, evening meal and breakfast was delicious. From a rating point of view it’s a 10/10.

The traditional The George Hotel, stands in the very center of the bustling market town of Penrith on the edge of the Lake District and the North Pennines. The breakfast was delicious and the location was excellent.

Boasting an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and modern rooms, the 4-star luxury North Lakes Hotel and Spa, is located just off the M6 motorway. All the staff where absolutely outstanding above and beyond. The level of service and attention to detail was exceptional, For the first time ever we ate both nights in the restaurant due to the level of service and quality of food.

Located in Penrith, 13 miles from Askham Hall, The Globe Inn provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This 3-star hotel offers a bar. Evening meal & breakfast really good. Room a little dated but bathroom/shower very good. Traditional bar/pub excellent, I wish I lived a lot nearer.

Awarded a 3-star rating by VisitEngland, this independently-run hotel in the beautiful village of Edenhall is only 3 miles from Penrith and junction 40 of the M6. Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.

The Roundthorn Country House and luxury self-catering Mews Apartments are set in landscaped gardens, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells. First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.

Located in Penrith, 5.8 miles from Askham Hall, The castlegate arms has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a bar. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous!! It was located near the train station so it was extremely convenient.
