The location was great. Able to walk the town & easily chat with locals. The Royal has been newly upgraded. Excellent amenities & bar facilities. Derek is a fine host. All safe & secure at this hotel.

The staff is wonderfully accommodating, the room was very comfortable, the location couldn’t be better, and the food was excellent.

Really exceptional customer service from the owner and team. Everyone was very helpful to us as we were navigating travel and transportation in a new country AND on a holiday. The room was very nice, super clean, and had everything we needed. We were served a lovely breakfast and having the restaurant as an option was very helpful.

Featuring its own curling ice rink and an indoor pool, North West Castle Hotel is located opposite Stranraer harbour, which serves as the main ferry port between Scotland and Ireland. Left at 6.15 am. We had a very short but pleasant stay.
