La struttura si trova in una posizione perfetta per esplorare il nord dell' isola, pur non essendo molto lontano da Lerwick. La strada che le collega é bella e facile. La struttura é molto pulita, lo staff é sempre gentile e ha incluso un ottimo bar e ristorante. L'energia, la cortesia e il sorriso dei due ragazzi, Scott e Curtis, che ti accolgono per colazione é sicuramente uno dei punti forti di quest'albergo.

Situato nel cuore di Shetland, in una posizione tranquilla e piacevole, il St Magnus Bay Hotel era un tempo frequentato dal poeta WH Auden e dal drammaturgo Christopher Isherwood. Accoglienza eccezionale e disponibilità con possibilità di cena in loco (data la posizione) e consigli di cosa fare e vedere sull'isola. Pulizia ottima, lo stanno ristrutturando ma non ha inficiato sui servizi offerti. Colazione ottima.

Situato nello Shetland continentale e affacciato sul litorale di Busta Voe, il grazioso Busta House occupa un antico palazzo e offre camere con bagno privato, un vasto giardino e un'ottima cucina... The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating which exceeded expectations for customer service, food which was exceptional and great variety of local produce, room had a great view, bed comfy and good size and well appointed bathroom

Boasting a bar, Scalloway Hotel is situated in Scalloway. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Breakfast was fine and sufficiënt. Fine friendly staff.

Il Queens Hotel si trova a Lerwick, a pochi passi dalla spiaggia di Bain. L'hotel dista 32 km dall'Aeroporto di Sumburgh, lo scalo più vicino. It is perfectly situated. This grand beautiful historic building is being renovated by the present owners. I had a room with a sea view which was magnificent. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I loved the towel warmer and excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff were amazing. Sam, the owner’s son, went above the call of duty to provide towels and vacuum the sand I tracked into the room. Harvey, the owner, was fantastic! He even gave me a ride to the bus station. If you are interested in historic preservation this is the hotel for you. It sits actually into the sea next to Bain’s Beach. I had a fabulous week at the Queens Hotel.

My room (324) was just the right size, en suite and located in a quiet wing. The furnishings and whole vibe of the place is Boho/shabby chic. I mean this in a good way. The ambience is laidback, friendly, uncomplicated. One could be extremely picky about some flaws and details in the decor or upkeep of the place, but it was clean, comfortable and not only nice staff but nice clientele as well. I would have stayed there on my return trip, but had private arrangements instead. However, I would definitely go back. The girls serving in the bar, the kind man who made generous breakfasts, and particularly Harvey the owner, were all lovely people. The hotel‘s in a great central location, there are cheaper places to stay, but none with the same vibes or funkiness.
