Very convenient hotel for a layover when travelling by car: easy access, private parking, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Old town with magnificent cathedral is within an easy walking distance. Very nice hotel restaurant too.

In the heart of Peterborough, the exclusive 4-star Bull Hotel is opposite the Queensgate shopping centre. The staff in the bar were really nice and a pleasure to interact with (young local lady and the man was from Brazil if I remember correctly). I really liked the bathroom consumables such as shower gel, soap etc very nice smelling. Location is very convenient for anything that you might need to go out and get. Carpark is very spacious and easy to park in once you find it, which isn't so easy as the hotel postcode doesn't actually guide you there on a SatNav.

The Holiday Inn Express Peterborough offers en suite rooms with a flat-screen TV with Freeview and power showers. It is 4 miles from the city centre, next to the East of England showground. The room was clean and comfortable with a roomy shower. The members of staff were excellent, being friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the range of food choices for breakfast and really enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Peterborough Rail Station, this stylish, modern hotel boasts spacious rooms with double walk-in showers and city views. Guests can also enjoy the grill restaurant and bar. The room size was excellent for the price I paid. The evening meal was of a good standard

Ubytovanie Black Horse sa nachádza v destinácii Peterborough 15 km od miesta Burghley House a 22 km od miesta Longthorpe Tower. I ended up at the Black Horse after being stranded at Peterborough due to an LNER situation - I tried booking hotels in town and they had run out of spaces so I randomly chose a reasonably priced one that was accessible - which ended up being the Black Horse. It looked very nice from the photos and lived up to this image - it's a gorgeous place - an old-fashioned inn with a restaurant, bar and rooms, beautifully decorated. The young woman on duty who checked me in (I can't remember her name but she was great) was extremely welcoming, reassuring and accommodating. The dinner was exceptional - the best gluten-free fish and chips I have tasted! (Coeliacs should check if the tartare sauce is gluten free though) It was great to be so warm and well-fed in such a nice environment after being stuck on the train and then a cold platform for several hours. I'd definitely recommend this place. My room was large and comfortable with space to work and a really good shower. They even let me work remotely the next morning teaching music online no bother! (In fact I got a round of applause from the locals in bar next door when I finished :D) Altogether very friendly, comfortable, amenable and relaxed place. The young bar staff were also great - relaxed, resourceful and accommodating. I'd definitely choose to stay here if I was in the area again, absolutely.

The Delta Hotels by Marriott Peterborough is opposite and close to the A1. Large rooms are en suite and there are excellent leisure facilities including a pool and gym. The staff were very welcoming. We really felt at home.
