A Regency house overlooking Ullswater, the Macdonald Leeming House has an award-winning restaurant and views of the Cumbrian Fells. It is a 15-minute drive from the M6 motorway. A wonderful birthday and romantic weekend! I spent the weekend learning about wine and the one of the staff members was wonderful enough to give us (we paid!) his selection of wines for dinner. We felt special! Good transportation options also to get to property.

We arrived after 8pm at Lowthwaite B&B. Jim opened the door for us and helped us with our luguages. He gave us a warm welcome and we felded at home emediately. You can see and feel that Jim and Tine did travel a lot in Azia and Africa. You can see feel that in their hospitity and the decoration. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortabel. The breakfast is great. We'll defenetely return here.

The lodge was spotless and furnishings were so comfy. The owners have paid great attention to detail and their is everything you could possibly need. The views from the balcony is wonderful. Beautiful touches such as prosecco and fresh flowers on arrival. The hosts are on site due to being a working farm and they are so friendly nothing is to much for them. Only 10 mins walk into poorly bridge.
