With stunning views of the surrounding fells, The award-winning Strands Inn, Screes Inn & Strands Brewery all sit in the heart of Wasdale Valley. The location is amazing. Be mindful this is a secluded village but that’s the beauty of it. Lovely walks, views and hikes. The owners were lovely and so welcoming. They took care of everything. Everything was well set up before we came and that was beautiful. They were stretched for resources but everything was planned so well, we didn’t feel it once.

Everything was very well thought out, including the drying and boot room. Great little place. Highly recommended. Very close to Wast Water.

I came here for walking with three other friends and we all wanted our own room and space and this property ticked all the boxes for us and it didn’t disappoint. The cottage is really spacious with a beautiful and unique style. The bedrooms were a good size and comfortable beds - much needed if you’ve been out walking all day!. Great location, peaceful and absolutely amazing views. The hot tub was a decent size and great way to relax after a long days walking.
