The location was fantastic right in the center of town. We loved the historic nature of the property. It was very comfortable and the staff was really helpful upon checkin.

Built in 1676 as a hunting lodge for King Charles II, the Speech House Hotel has been refurbished to offer modern facilities and luxurious rooms while retaining its period features. Lovely place, we enjoyed our stay.

This charming traditional coaching inn is a Grade II listed building and still retains many of its beautiful original features, such as exposed wooden beams. Dog friendly is an understatement, they were so accommodating to us and our rather filthy dog having walked Offa's Dyke that day. Lovely big room and enjoyed the bath!
