It was the first town we stayed in The Gambia, while we were traveling with cars. The hosts were super nice and very very helpful. Staying there was really refreshing! If you want to understand how nice and welcoming Gambian people are, you should definitely book this place.

ABCA's Creek Lodge biedt een restaurant en ligt in het binnenland, op ongeveer 85 km van de kust. De accommodatie beschikt over een balkon. De eigen badkamer is uitgerust met een douche. We absolutely loved our stay at AbCa's Creek Lodge! The lodge is charming with a variety of different seating areas along the creek. Ansu the guide gave us a great hiking tour, as well as a lovely boat tour through the mangroves, where we saw a variety of birds. Do note that the creek tide ebbs and flows - the creek looks nearly empty in the late afternoon compared to the morning, so time your water activities accordingly. We later went kayaking through the mangroves which was beautiful though we opted to turn around instead of going all the way to the village which meant fighting the current and ebbing tide - a bit of a physical feat but well worth the adventure! The staff was very accommodating, including storing our luggage late and organizing a driver to and from the Lodge (who also kindly stopped at the artisanal market en route). Our wooden stilt room had both a fan and A/C and was quite comfortable (though note the bathroom is private but open to the air, so beware some mosquitoes and spiders). Food options were plentiful and delicious. Absolutely loved relaxing outside watching dozens of monkeys! Highly recommend, this was our favorite part of our visit in The Gambia.

Feel Free Lodge bevindt zich in Jinack Island met uitzicht op de zee en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin en zonneterras. Je kunt uitstekend tafeltennissen bij de lodge. Gastvrijheid, afgelegen plek, weinig toerisme. Heerlijk lang strand.

Jinack Lodge in Jinack Island biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de zee, een tuin, een terras en een bar. Er is een bowlingbaan ter plaatse en je kunt iets drinken bij de snackbar. First of all Jinack Lodge crew is super super nice. We felt like home. Place is amazing - close to the beach and we listened ocean waves whole night. Food was delicious!

Les Fromagers bevindt zich in Missira, op 6,6 km van Wildreservaat Fathala, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.

B & B Mariamacounda is gelegen in Toubakouta met uitzicht op het zwembad en heeft een restaurant, een excursiebalie, bar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. The place looks absolutelly great, we just loved it.
