The property is the most central to explore the island. The family were most helpful and catered for our every needs in exploring the island. The property is linked to several trails linking the other villages. At the next village 45 minutes walk you will find the island bakers (Stella's not to be missed). Unfortunately as it was the beginning of the season Maria's mother was away so we missed out on the ice cream, however upon return we will sample it. We met a couple who brought their pedal cycles from Crete, had we had access to pedal cycles it would have made the getting around the island simple.

House was very spacious, with the kitchen and living room on the ground floor and the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. It had a spacious terrace behind and it was located within walking distance of the 2 restaurants in Kastri village and the bakery. The beds were comfy and had air conditioning in both rooms. WiFi worked perfectly (I booked the place specifically for the internet, as I was working both days remotely). Overall I never expected to find something that nice on Gavdos island the Villa Kastri was a pleasant surprise.

Akrogiali ligger på strandpromenaden i Gavdos og har have samt gratis WiFi overalt på ejendommen. The staff are exceptional, very helpful and kind. Amazing location. Taverna serves great food with wonderful sunset views. Great beach. Hiking path to Tripiti and Lakoudi beach starts at the hotel. I will be back.
