Situated in Sgoudiana of Gavdos island, Metochi Gavdos features a tavern and views of the sea. Free WiFi is provided . All rooms open to a terrace with views. Stayed here at the beginning of May. The property is the most central to explore the island. The family were most helpful and catered for our every needs in exploring the island. The property is linked to several trails linking the other villages. At the next village 45 minutes walk you will find the island bakers (Stella's not to be missed). Unfortunately as it was the beginning of the season Maria's mother was away so we missed out on the ice cream, however upon return we will sample it. We met a couple who brought their pedal cycles from Crete, had we had access to pedal cycles it would have made the getting around the island simple.

Remotely located in Gavdos Island, Gavdos Princess offers a restaurant and self-catering accommodation. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. I booked 5 days and stayed for 2 weeks. That should say it all. A perfect little cottage. When you stay here, you suddenly feel like family rather than a guest. The hospitality from George and staff is not to be compared. Hungry? Have a walk through the kitchen, lift the lids on the stove and tell them what you want. The food is wonderful, the feeling of being home, even better. The view and the gardens are both 1st class, the touch of background music from the 70's & 80's makes for a perfect atmosphere. The location for hikers in spot on. Already planning my next extended visit.

We loved everything. Giorgos is a fantastic host that took such good care of us. His place is brand-new and constantly improving. Don’t pay any attention to other comments claiming there is no electricity. There is in fact as well as air conditioning, hot water, and many other ammenities you wouldn’t even imagine coming to an island like Gavdos. And, of course, the dogs ❤️❤️❤️

House was very spacious, with the kitchen and living room on the ground floor and the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. It had a spacious terrace behind and it was located within walking distance of the 2 restaurants in Kastri village and the bakery. The beds were comfy and had air conditioning in both rooms. WiFi worked perfectly (I booked the place specifically for the internet, as I was working both days remotely). Overall I never expected to find something that nice on Gavdos island the Villa Kastri was a pleasant surprise.

Located on a beautiful beach, the rooms were comfortable, and the Tavern offered very good traditional dishes and grilled fish. Highly recommend staying here!
