They also made sure to give us all the contact details and precautions for the hike up, knowing that some hunters were active in the area. In the end, our hike went very well and we could happily report back that we were safely back down the mountain by late afternoon ;-) The rooms have outstanding views on Lake Kerkini. Beautiful sunrise and sunset light. The nearby village of Akritochori has 3 good dining options.
