Dating back to 1209, this impressive Gothic castle is set within a stunning 650 acres of parkland and forests. The spaces in the hotel were extremely comfortable, the nature around was beautiful, the staff really nice and helpful. We enjoyed the food served at the Dungeon Bar, considering the standard prices in the country, it was more than reasonably priced. Breakfast was tasty, the breakfast room was elegant and overlooked the garden. We stayed in the Bernard suite and we were impressed by how spacious both the room and the bathroom were, the sight from the window was amazing. There are easy hiking path starting from around the castle.

Breakfast was excellent and the bed was very soft for a good nights sleep. I could not have asked for a better stay.

Great location. Lovely staff. An hour late checking us in but we stayed an hour late on check out day and nobody rushed us. So all is fair!! Food is lovely too. Have stayed before and will stay again.

Dating back to 1747, this historic coaching inn features an on-site coffee shop selling fresh pastries, home-cooked food, and afternoon tea. Stay here. This place is excellent and the people go out of their way to help. Kevin in particular was very accommodating and assisted me during my stay. Excellent meals. Really worth the stay.

Luglass house blueball enjoys a location in Blue Ball, 24 miles from Cross of the Scriptures and 24 miles from Athlone Institute of Technology. Really nice rooms with the nicest hostess. She was really wonderful and nice to talk to. Cooked the best homemade breakfast for us. Would absolutely revisit if our way took os near Carmel and her wonderful house.

The Harbour Masters House enjoys a location in Banagher, 12 miles from Cross of the Scriptures and 19 miles from Dun na Si Heritage & Genealogical Centre. Beautiful location overlooking the water. While located in a small town, it is only a short drive away from Banagher. Great pub about 100m away (They draw a great pint of Guinness if you are so inclined). Darren the host is a wealth of local and surrounding areas and presents guests with a top notch breakfast in the morning.

Kitty's is set in Tullamore, 656 feet from Tullamore Dew Heritage Center and 7.5 mi from Kilbeggan Racecourse. The property is 8.7 mi from Ballard Farm. All! Amazing apartment for couple, fully equipped (we used the washing machine and dryer), great location and the host Claire was very kind and helpful😊 (helped us book tour in a dustilerry close to Tullamore as there wasn't place there). Fully reconanded!!

Keeraun Hill enjoys a location in Banagher, 14 miles from Cross of the Scriptures and 20 miles from Dun na Si Heritage & Genealogical Centre. Excellent standard of accomodation. Wonderful host and a lovely welcome with warm scones and tea. Super breakfast. No negative issues at all. Lady owner even offered us a lift to an evening meeting we were attending.

Brona Dempsey in Birr provides accommodations with a garden, a terrace, and barbecue facilities. Quiet, very clean, and very gracious hostess.
