Located in Arvagh, 13 miles from Cavan Genealogy Centre, Breffni Arms Hotel has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Wonderful hotel and amazing family running the establishment and they could not to do more for us. Amazing breakfast included and we ate dinner there both nights because the food and people were so wonderful!! So helpful for suggestions on local attractions and transportation. This is a must stay!

Great location opposite Mel’s cathedral 5 mins walk to town, with free secure onsite parking. Clean and comfortable.

Glebe House offers accommodations in Taghshinny, 17 miles from Athlone Institute of Technology and 17 miles from Athlone Train Station. This was a perfect spot to stop, right in the center of the countryside. The location was easy to find. It’s very peaceful, with friendly people and pets (including dogs, cats and horses). The rooms were spacious with en suite, air conditioning and a tv. The breakfast was delicious with more than enough to fill even the hungriest teenage boys. We’ve told all of our friends to stay here on their visit. The local Inn, just a short distance away, has a fantastic pub where we had one of the best dinners of our entire trip. I only wish we hadn’t been just passing-through because the local walks/hikes sounded amazing.

Longford Holiday Red Rose Self Catering Cottage is located in Longford, just 27 miles from Roscommon Racecourse and 27 miles from Carrick-on-Shannon Golf Club. This cottage is absolutely beautiful,, such good value for money,, our stay was comfortable and we will definitely be returning 😊
