Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area. Modern and elegantly renovated hotel, super friendly staff! Our room had everything we needed and was perfectly arranged and equipped! The breakfast was outstanding and had everything, even local specialities! We arrived late, but our receptionist kept the bar open for some glasses of wine for us.

The location was good for travelling the ring road. Our room was perfect; comfortable, warm and clean. The owner was really kind, gave us tips for getting around. Also the breakfast was really great. Would recommend for sure.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. We booked a triple room although we were 2, the room was spacious with normal furniture. The dinner experience was the best, some of the best food we had in Iceland, make sure you try the hotel restaurant.

Overlooking Djupivogur Harbour, Hotel Framtid is 8 km from Búlandstindur Mountain. It offers local seafood specialities, a bar and free private parking. Quaint environment. You could tell every piece of the building was moved from Copenhagen in 1906 :D the staff is very nice and caring, the mood fits with the Cittaslow.
