The hosts were incredibly hospital; producing a meal even though the restaurant was closed and guiding us the next day with our walk.

The operator, Beatrice was very helpful in our unique situation. I don't know what we have done without her. The building was charming and we were surrounded with many lovely antiques. Breakfast was good , served at the time we requested and in the amount we wanted. Barga itself is like a stroll through history with cobble stone streets, excellent restaurants and friendly residents. I hope to visit again and wish all good things for Beatrice, her family and staff .

Set on a hillside overlooking the medieval town of Barga, Renaissance Tuscany Il Ciocco Resort & Spa features an outdoor pool and modern spa. The welcome staff was ok. Location is a wow! The building is well equipped and the view was fantastic! The restaurant top! Only the Spa lacks of most of the spa equipments! I was with a friend of mine and we really enjoyed…see you soon!

The location is incredible, the village is half way up in the mountain and it was nice and cool in the middle of the summer. The view is amazing as, being perched half way up, you see the slopes of the maritime alps and the sea. Food is exceptional both in quality and quantity so we absolutely recommend, if you are in doubt, book the dinner and save space. Staff was really amazing, my husband was in grutches and they made it possible to be located next to the elevator.
