Staying at Albergo Ristorante da Settimio was a true pleasure. Francesco and his staff run a lovely small hotel and restaurant that has been in his family for 3 generations. It was a pleasure to be greeted warmly upon our arrival, with the assurance that if we needed anything we need only ask. Francesco loves Lago Trasimeno, and is proud to follow in the line of a family who committed their lives to hospitality and hard work. A stay here is a return to being a valued guest. Our room was simple with a balcony facing the lake. The bed was very comfortable. It had all the essentials for a comfortable stay: well cleaned and disinfected, small fridge, WiFi, A/C, screens on the windows. We would happily return here again, and will recommend it to others.

Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub. Great property, with amazing views of the lake and very friendly staff. The breakfast spread is also very nice and the Olive Oil they serve is one of the best I’ve ever tasted.

The welcome from all the staff on arrival was absolutely 100% after a weary journey from Ireland by air and train/taxi… the owner/principal (Bruno) was excellent with plenty of advice and assistance with getting into nearby Passignano sul Trasimeno… we will be forever thankful to Hotel Kursaal for making our stay in Italy very memorable and fulfilling!
