Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel & Spa

Hotel in Monte di Pietà, Palermo

Located in Palermo, 500 metres from Palermo Cathedral, Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel & Spa provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The hotel is probably the best located in the whole city, it is close to everything in Palermo. The staff was absolutely wonderful. We felt welcomed before even crossing the door when they helped us find a parking spot. The bedroom was beautifuly decorated with a lot of nice touches like the bluetooth speaker. It was always great to come back in the room to relax a bit after a visit in the scorching heat of summer in Sicily. What makes the hotel even more special is the pool in the outdoor common area. It gives a very relaxing vibe to the place and it is refreshing.

Room Of Andrea Hotel 4 stars

Hotel in Trapani City Centre, Trapani

Set in the Trapani City Centre of Trapani, Room Of Andrea is located 1.4 km from Trapani Port and 3.3 km from Funivia Trapani Erice. Very clean, modern room, comfortable bed and very nice breakfast (especially the cornetto al pistacchio). Also the staff is very friendly and can offer suggestions about restaurants or local tour companies. Very nice terrace with pool area from where you can admire the sunset or lay in the sun. The only suggestion I would have, I would have liked to have the pool area open as from 8 am.

FAQs about hotels in Sicily

An Island of Intrigue

The largest Italian island, Sicily has long been a place of mystery and intrigue, coveted by civilisations. Its Greek history is most evident at Agrigento whose UNESCO World Heritage-listed Valley of the Temples has amazingly well-preserved Greek temples.

Also important to Greece was Siracusa. Archimedes was born here and there is a theatre and necropolis to explore. However, the most spectacularly located Greek theatre is at Taormina. Set on a hill overlooking the glorious Mediterranean Sea, this theatre points towards Mount Etna smoking away in the distance above Catania. Picturesque Taormina is one of the most popular Sicily resorts and down below there are some wonderful Giardini Naxos hotels on the beach, available on Booking.com.

Another resort boasting some of the best Sicily hotels for families is fabulous Cefalù. Home to a lovely beach, this small town is dramatically located at the foot of a mountain. To the north-west are the Aeolian Islands (also known as the Lipari Islands), volcanic islands with plunging cliffs and secret coves.

Back on the main island, the capital Palermo is a seductive mix of amazing architecture and laidback life. Trapani to the west is known for its salt flats, whereas Messina to the east is where trains drive straight onto the ferry to Reggio Calabria on the Italian mainland.
