Hotel Chi no Hate is located in Shari, 8.1 miles from Shiretoko National Park. Each room at the 3-star hotel has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath. I chose this hotel due to its location next to the trail head of rausu dake and I am super happy that I did that! The hotel is a cultural experience! Everything was perfect. The onsen was magnificent, the food was so diverse and of local products, and the tatami room was beautiful. They even offered a pepper spray against bears for my hike. To be honest, I can't share the opinion of the others that the hotel is too expensive. Instead I'd say you get more then what you pay!

Providing free private parking, Tezukuri Cottage Mauranarani - Vacation STAY 49824v is 17 miles from Shiretoko National Park. Every single nook and cranny showed the creative of the designer. Absolutely fascinating! There's even a pinball machine built into the wall. Wow. The kitchen was the most well-equipped one with everything well-thought out and considered. You can really tell the effort put in by the host and family. Everyone loved the projector Tv and wished we could have spent more time here. The host was very nice communicative too. Would love to stay here again and use the outdoor patios next time.
