This beautiful resort is situated on the banks of the mighty Mekong River, surrounded by lush greenery and home to an abundance of bird species. The resort also provides exciting boat and kayak tours that allow guests to explore the stunning river and its surrounding areas. Recently, I had the opportunity to visit this amazing place and I must say, it was one of the best trips I have ever taken. As soon as I arrived at the resort, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was immediately taken in by the tranquil atmosphere of the resort. The lush gardens, wooden bungalows, and beautiful views of the Mekong River made me feel like I was in paradise. The bungalows at Mekong Bird Resort Strung Treng are designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, providing a comfortable yet rustic experience. Each bungalow is equipped with all the necessary amenities including a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the river. As I settled into my bungalow, I couldn't help but appreciate how well-maintained and clean everything was. The resort truly takes pride in providing its guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. One of the highlights of my trip was the boat tour on the Mekong River. The resort offers both private and group boat tours that take you on a journey through some of the most scenic areas of the river. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out different bird species and sharing interesting facts about the local culture and history. We also had the opportunity to visit a nearby floating village where we got to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse's Fishermen Bungalow & A Tammarine Bungalow River Front er staðsett á friðsælum stað á Don Khon-eyjunni og býður upp á ókeypis WiFi. We had a wonderful time at Tan's place. He is an amazing host, and the bungalow is overlooking the Mekong. There's plenty to do for people who love nature. The accommodation is super simple yet comfortable and clean. There is a partner restaurant nearby with a great view and the food is yummy! We got to know Tan, and he has many stories to tell; lots of laughs and interesting facts about the area. Coffee and breakfast is 'absolutely amazing' and SUNSET is phenomenal! <3

Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse- Serene Bliss, Life in the Tranquil Southend of Laos býður upp á friðsæla og afslappandi dvöl á Don Khone-eyju. I’ve loved everything about this stay. The peace at Pomelo is unmatched, the staff is beyond nice. food was great, the room was perfectly clean and so beautiful. I can not recommend enough, looking forward to go back:)

Chanhthida Riverside Guesthouse and The River Front Restaurant er staðsett í Ban Khon og býður upp á útsýni yfir ána, veitingastað og þrifaþjónustu. The position of the place is perfect to discover the island. The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

Souksanh Guesthouse er staðsett í Ban Donsôm á Champasak-svæðinu og býður upp á svalir og útsýni yfir ána. Gistirýmið er reyklaust. The only reason I don't rate it with a 1 is because it's cheap. Nothing else good to say about our experience.

We appreciated the large room and the private veranda. The view from the verandah over the Mekong is simply fantastic. We would have liked to stay much longer. The accommodation is quiet and clean. The location is perfect: in the quiet part and yet not far from restaurants. It is possible to book tickets for onward travel. Boats pick you up directly from the guesthouse.

Sala Done Khone Hotel er í 40 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Khonephang-fossinum. Hótelið býður upp á nútímaleg gistirými, upplýsingaborð ferðaþjónustu, sundlaug og skutluþjónustu. Don Khone is the place to be, if you're trying to decide. we almost stayed in Don Det, and I am so glad I spent a bit extra and came here. The village is lovely, the whole island is really nice to bike around, and Sala Done Khone is lovely. The AC works very well, the floating studios are lovely, and the breakfast is great and large. The other meals are also good at the restaurant, or there are plenty of options close by. They provide everything you need and the beds are super comfy! Thanks very much for a lovely stay. We didn't want to leave.
