This place is a bubble of peace and quiet, there are only 2 rooms located in a 2 storeys bungalow (1 room per floor) with an amazing view on the laguna with buffalos and hundreds of different birds. The room is spacious as well as the bathroom. No hot water but it is not necessary as the water is heated from the sun. It is clean and the bed is very comfortable with a mosquito net. In addition to this the owner and her family are very kind and welcoming. She arranged a safari trip for the afternoon on Bundala national park with a great driver who knows a lot about the animals and explains everything. The 2nd day she also took us in her car to go and see crocodiles. The breakfast and diner were awesome.....it was hard to leave this place and for sure we will come back. I more than highly recommend to go there.

Jade Hotel is close to the airport and is a great stay if you want to visit Yala National park; Birds Resort and Ridiyama park (to see all the animals). Great manager Mr. Claude has helped us find taxis at a fare price and suggested on excursions and relocation. He also offered us a better room when my daughter had some unexpected allergy and even helped us with doctor visit. My children were unable to eat breakfast because the food was too different for European taste and spicy, so Mr. Claude offered us bread, butter, egg and sausage making sure we are fed. He was always there to help us with everything and we felt safe. If you come to stay, you can ask him about excursions and places to visit. Food: we’ve had chicken soups for lunch and had dinners in Jade Green. Food is great; very delicious and not spicy (if you ask so). They can cook our food with all the local tasty herbs which makes the food great. Hotel can help you arrange taxi from the airport.
