Spacious, beautiful room with ocean view and comfortable beds. The pool, steam room, jacuzzi and gym were great. We used it all. There is a shopping mall attached to the hotel and access to the back roads if you want to walk around. We did a late checkout at 7pm and the staff at the hotel were very accommodating.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hatch House! After two weeks of budget homestays while exploring Sri Lanka, this was a delightful upgrade. The hot water shower was a dream, and all the facilities – from the hairdryer to the AC and wifi – worked perfectly. The room was impressively modern, and having a bakery, small supermarket, and ATM downstairs, although closing a bit early, added great convenience. The staff is really helpfull and nice, I really appreciate in allowing me an early check-in without any additional cost when I arrived too early in Colombo. Highly recommend! I also like the fact that my room already has iron and ironing board.

Cultural shock but must to see with your own eyes. 2 days is good enough to discover. Very intense city with lot of noises and smells, crowded places everywhere, the air pollution is high the trafic is crazy. The people are very kind and helpful. After all Colombo is an interesting experience.

Colombo is definitely not worth visiting, not even for a night. From the airport immediately take the bus or train to your first real stop. Nothing to see, nothing to do, just a busy and grey city.
