Randy took us on his motorbike to visit the amazing landscape and lake around. We felt good from the very beginning and felt sad to leave such great people and souls.

Hotel and staff are so very accommodating. We were upgraded to the tree house which was a fun experience, overlooking the river. Room and hotel is very clean. Bed very comfortable. Pool is lovely and towels available poolside. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely and less expensive than in town. The hotel helped book us a safari and provided a boxed breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel was also delicious and lots of effort was made to accommodate by food intolerance. Highly recommend!

We just stayed for one night so we could do a Safari in the Yala National park. We chose Lavender Home because it was walking distance (1km) from the bus station and because they could arrange a safari tour including breakfast. The place is run by really kind and helpful people who did their best to make our stay as great as possible.The rooms are nice with a terrace overlooking the rice paddies. At arrival we received a welcome juice with fruit from their own garden. In the evening we had a lovely homemade dinner including typical Sri Lankan dessert. The safari the next day was great! The owner arranged a private driver who knew the right places and took the time so we could take pictures and look at the animals. We left at 4:45 in the morning so we were at the gates as one of the first, before the park opened. We saw multiple groups of elephants (including baby), wild boar, deer, crocodiles, mongoose, monkeys, various birds and 1 very distant leopard. When we got back around 12 we still had access to our room so we were able to have a shower and pack our bags very relaxed. The owner arranged a free tuktuk for us to the bus station so we did not even have to walk. If you are planning to visit Yala (or another NP) we would definitely recommend Lavender House!

Stable wi-fi (especially for the area) - if you have issues speak with staff and they will resolve immediately. 4. Comfy Beds 5. CLEAN EVERYWHERE 6. Beautiful grounds We also booked a safari with them but the rain was so bad the park shut down and turned us away. We asked if we could receive a refund and they gave us back our money with no hesitation or argument. This hotel is run by honest, hard working, and loving people. You will regret not booking here. Thank you again staff at Nehansa Resort and Safari you made us feel at home.
