Very nice and peaceful place. Location is very good, wood, countryside but close to city and to the Sea. Cozy home and very polite owner. We had wonderful family weekend.

Ēdoles Pils is a 13th century castle featuring park walks and views of the lake. It is set in Ēdole in the Kurzeme Region, 42 km from Ventspils. Remote, but totally magical place. Quiet. Rural. Authentically historical. Very helpful staff. Feels like being a part of a fairy tale (including 7 swans on the lake).

The bees were buzzing in the blooming linden trees and I had good time in the morning with my kids as we played some games that were in the house.

Very welcoming hosts, real farmstead. Maybe I got lucky, but it was also wonderfully quiet and peaceful, especially in the evening, every guest observed 22:00 - 07:00 quiet time. Hosts are proud tomatoe growers, their greenhouse boasting more then 40 tomatoe varieties. Ask them about tomatoes if it's the season. That is, if they are not too busy on the farm.

Everything was surprisingly great. Houses are modern and provide all you need inside. Kitchen with utensils (plates, forks, knives, cups, kettle and etc) Moderns shower, very comfy beds. What was very important it was very calm and quiet outside. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Highly recommended for everyone who is visiting Jūrkalne or any place near. Simply 11/10!
