Located in Bīriņi, Birinu Pils is next to Lake Bīriņu. Housed in a manor house from 1860, it offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Free private parking is available on site. Arrived in the evening and was stunned by the beautiful views and the castle itself. Doors were open and we took the opportunity to explore the castle as well as the park and nearby tower. Nice rooms, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The kids appreciated swimming in the nearby lake/river and the giant swing on the premises. Also recommend visiting the restaurant!

Lauču Akmens is a lovely camping that offers accommodation in holiday wooden cottages directly on Vidzeme Beach. Facilities include a café-bar, a beach volleyball court. Everything was thought of - from bathroom and the kitchenware to everything one might need for a comfy sunset with a glass of wine or rich breakfast on the balcony (including a small sofa on the balcony and blankets to feel warm). Excellent attitude from the staff. I'm definitely returning!
