The staff, even though they did not know English, tried their best to make the stay comfortable. I was there for four days and then my wife joined me and we continued for another 4 days. The owner ensured that we felt at home. She arranged the boats for us, helped us with money exchange, and with the bus tickets. Everything was amazing. Great breakfast. Laundry. Free cycles to roam around. And lots of nice people around. Inle is just getting opened. During our week at Inle, there were just two other guests in the hotel.

I loved being treated like family at SOT - from the messages I exchanged with Fiona the owner, to the care and help to book bus tickets, a boat trip and a private driver to the hotpools and Kalaw. Shwe the manager is super friendly and helpful, along with the whole staff there. The food was great, alot of Korean meals. I must have eaten half my meals there! I also ate local breakfasts thanks to Shwe, which I loved. My dorm bed was super clean and spacious - bathrooms are clean and plentiful. Love the rooftop which catches beautiful sunrises and sunsets, cool breezes and great views. Free bikes allowed me to roam Nyaung Shwe easily. There's the Red Mountain winery nearby, which has great views and a stunning sunset. Jesu ba for a wonderful first time visit to Inle! I will be back in July with my son and 2 friends!
