They sold nice cold beer in the lobby too! Our room had a huge old bathtub!

La Cabaña del Lago is located 7 km from Catemaco and is facing Catemaco Lake. It is 2 hours and 10 minutes’ drive from Veracruz. It’s s not far from the city, but it’s s beautiful location and the family that ruins it is very accommodating and generous. It’s right on the lake and the view is beautiful

Located on the shores of Lake Catemaco, this hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi. Hotel Playa Cristal also offers free parking and banquet facilities. Staff was excellent, friendly, genuine and put up with my poor attempts at Spanish and many questions. Pool area and garden was lovely for chilling. Lake right across the street from main entrance. Parking in central courtyard and a guy came and wiped down the windows after we got it all dusty. We never had dinner, but both breakfasts were amazing. Salsa verde was spicy and wonderful. Again, staff -- from reception, to bar tenders to servers to cleaning staff -- was incredible.
