The accommodation features room service, a 24-hour front desk and organising tours for guests. - the stream and the bridge is lovely the cabin is simple but comfortable - the bathroom works well and cold showers to stay cool are essential in this hot climate - the nearby jungle walks and ruins and waterfalls are amazing - ask the owner about a jungle, ruins, waterfall tour! the woman who guided us was amazing!!! - the food in the nearby restaurant is very good too!

Set in Lacanjá, Chiapas region, Centro Ecoturistico Rio Chuc Tej is situated 13 km from Bonampak. We reserved one night but stayed two nights because of the warmth of the family and being invited into their activities, something not always available, we especially enjoyed a family birthday party/dinner. I would suggest this place for people who value getting to know a Lacandon Maya family and culture more than they value luxury. There is a great small waterfall and swimming hole about 10 minutes from the cabins.
