The owners really thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable. There is a lot of passion and love for the business. The room and bathroom was huge, water dispenser with hot and cold options and even some kitchen facilities in the room if you have a takeaway. There design is also quirky with interesting rock displays in the room. Thanks for a lovely stay bedrock.

Strategically located in the heart of Taiping Town, Novotel Taiping boasts an outdoor pool and views of the mountain, 68 km from Ipoh. The staff were amongst the best I have had the pleasure to come across. The pool is of a good size and was well maintained as was the gym. Wisely, the pool is closed during bad weather. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The chefs were very accommodating and the table staff very efficient and polite. The dining room was very busy over the bank holiday weekend, and they coped well. All the reception staff were efficient and polite. They always greeted us with a smile. The security/concierge were equally a pleasure to meet when coming in or out. I apologise for not remembering names! The rooms were kept very clean and seemed to be done as soon as we left the room having illuminated the please make up light. Finally, the direct access to the Mall was good , particularly when it was raining.

I like Pangkor! I love the nature! I love to walk on the beach. The water was clean. However, government need to improve more on the facilities, more on the ambiance and so on. Since this year is visit perak 2017, action fast is needed from governmnt.

Food is great, lots of choices. Easy to get around. There are lots of places to go and explore but you need a car to bring you around. My favorite is Bukit Merah laketown Resort 30mins from Taiping is an eco-tourism complex with a water park, eco park and where the Orangutan Island sanctuary is. Then the Charcoal Factory (Kuala Sepatang), Matang Mangrove forest reserve river boat ride in the fishing village formerly Port Well train station. Burmese Pool and the military cemetery. The famous Taiping Lake Garden, Kota Ngah Ibrahim landmark Museum, Anton Coffee factory, and Perak Museum. Maxwell hill great to see nature on a jeep ride. Taiping has so many old buildings dated back to 1800 around the town. There is one particular coffee shop we discovered (newly opened) its Yinn's Patisserie at 57, Jalan Barrack. This 1800's building was restored and the interior was beautifully decorated. The owner Mr Yeap Thean Hock designed the fabulous interior, he was so accommodating to tell us the whole history of the place. The cake and coffee was great as well as the ambience. Enjoyed Taiping very much.

The location of the hotel is in an area that is not very crowded. Parking is always available in front of the hotel but payable to the municipal council during office hours. Download the Perak parking app to facilitate parking payment. The room itself was quite clean and not too big nor too small. Everything was in working order and the view is either the front of the hotel or the back of the hotel. There is a vending machine in the lobby for drinks.

I have to say that Absolutely Fantastic and Well Above Expectations during our stay in the resort on Pangkor island! Very gentle and careful staff, as well as quite delicious food with varieties, extremely distinctive water villa and magnificent sunrise in West Malaysia! There is a really nice beach and the green but clean water that you can just capture the life as it is due to the original ecological nature what can make you detached from the actual world for a while. Not to mention that there is an awesome SPA which you can have the full relaxation for the soul and body entirely. Last but not the least, the most impressive is that Mr. Adwin Chong, the GM from the resort, who saved my friend’s journey in a way. One of my friends had wrongly picked up the luggage which belongs to other people in the Kuala Lumpur Airport upon arrival and just realized this issue after arrived at the resort on the island, a place almost 4 hours’ drive from the airport, to make matters worse was that the unfortunate man (counterparty) had to take the flight back to Australia the next day. We turned to the GM finally and he went to be wholly devoted to dealt with this issue and managed to directly return the wrong luggage to the hotel where the guy lived in at that time, furthermore he tried to collect the luggage in the airport and handed it to my friend in a timely manner, so as to avoid successfully that my friend’s entire journey ruined by the unexpected episode. He really cares for people and what he runs is the resort with the humane business philosophy. This is definitely one of my most unforgettable memories and I would for sure go back to the resort next time! Thank you all for everything and looking forward to seeing you guys soon!
