Just off the E6 motorway 3 km from Grong, Namsentunet hotel is a collection of traditional buildings on the banks of the Namsen river. Wake up to the babbling brook, enjoy the morning view with a good breakfast. I understand they have salmon fishing right off the back porch when it is the season for it. Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff.

Had small 2 ring cooker to allow us to cook. Toilet facilities were in a block and you needed a token for the shower, but it was all very adequate for our needs. Only spoilt in the evening by an HGV driver having a disco in the garage next door that he had parked up in for the night, norwegian heavy metal and 11pm when it is still broad daylight.

Overhalla Hotel is situated in Overhalla, 20 km from Namsos Airport and 22 km from Namsos city in the Namdalen Valley. Very friendly staff and great service. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Good variety with both hot and cold dishes.

Everything was perfect, rooms, breakfast, beer, you name it. Thor is the nicest and most welcoming host I‘ve ever met, and I would recommend everyone who is traveling along E6 to stay here for the night. I‘m super glad I cancelled my reservation at another hotel when I saw there was a room available here. Truly a 11/10 experience. Will stay here again when I‘m in the area.

A breakfast pack had been left in the room, that fed us adequately for the evening as well as the morning!
