Situated along Hardanger Fjord, this waterfront hotel offers views of Folgefonna Glacier, indoor and outdoor pools, along with a private beach area. Wi-Fi access and private parking are both free. We booked this hotel as there were limited options and we wanted to do a few hikes in the area (Trolltunga and Dronningstein). We did not expect it to be much but WOW were we impressed! The hotel is extremely luxurious, the views to die for, the facilities world class plus with free paddle and row boats for unlimited use, indoor/outdoor heated pool, infinity pool, sauna, etc, and the continental buffet breakfast the best we’ve ever had at any hotel. The staff let us check in early when our bus arrived and even though check out is already fairly late at midday, they were happy for us to continue to use the facilities after check out.

It was a quick and easy drive to Nordheimsund, which is where many tours take off. Like many other hotels in Norway, there is a wide and excellent selection for breakfast. Something for everyone. We had to leave earlier on our final morning before the start of breakfast but they had everything set out for us to self-serve. The restaurant was delicious but a bit pricey. This is typical of Norway, however. The pool at the connecting sports facility was convenient and fun.

But since we were so hungry and simply wanted spaghetti with tomato sauce the cook decided to still fix something up for us. We enjoyed dinner with a great view! The staff is friendly, helpful, and very attentive. We also liked that they offer a charging station for electric cars. (Though it would be even better if there were more in case one is taken) We are very glad we stayed here instead of the other big hotel in Eidfjord which had a huge cruiseship in front of it the next morning.

The view, the quirkiness, the fact our kids could slide on the site was a highlight! We used our drone from a higher point, 15 min walk from the cottage to film the kids and the view was absolutely amazing! The fjord was stunning! We found food at the local supermarket only a few minutes away by foot. The service station makes nice coffee which I grabbed early morning and off i went for a walk, full snow and freezing temp but it was a delight!

Centrally situated in Rosendal by the Hardanger Fjord, this waterfront hotel offers a restaurant, bar and terrace with panoramic views. Everything. Very attentive people!

Very friendly host who offered us complimentary tea, coffee and croissants on arrival, which we had outside on the lawn in the sunshine with the magnificent fjord view. Included breakfast in the morning delicious and a huge selection, with plenty of vego options. Very peaceful, comfortable and relaxing.

With an idyllic location by the Hardangerfjord, this elegant hotel features traditional décor, a waterfront garden and free Wi-Fi. The impressive Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall is a 5-minute drive away. Location is very good, staff are just brilliant, decor is superb.

An over 100 year old history — creaky hallway floor boards and ageing carpet part of the charm to me, and something I appreciate further after learning about the hotel carried down generations. The rooms most importantly are more restored, very clean and comfortable and buffet breakfast is good — didn’t have the chance to try the restaurant.

Oda the GM of the facilities was outstanding. I had a flat tire on my way to the hotel....she offered to come pick me up. That is above and beyond great customer service. Food was made fresh and to our orders Location was fabulous...highly recommend. Right on Hardasherfjord. Room had a patio door that overlooked the fjord. Amazing views!!! I would definitely recommend....and will plan on returning
