This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

Overlooking Lake Øvre Sjodalsvatnet, Bessheim Fjellstue offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation with mountain views and private bathrooms. The Gjende Boat departs 5.5 km away. We felt very well taken care of from the beginning until the very end. Every single aspect of our stay made it an exceptional one: the location was perfect, the rooms were cozy and clean, the food was always delicious and plentiful, and most of all: the warm yet professional service of the Bessheim was exceptional. At Bessheim, you can really feel and see everyone go the extra mile to make sure, you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend staying at the Bessheim and would love to return and stay even longer the next time.

The Skjolden Hotel was the high point of my trip. I was passing through the area and stayed for three nights. I was immediately captivated by the view of the fjord, then stayed for the excellent food from the kitchen and the lovely staff. if I had the time I would have stayed for a week.

This mountain inn is quietly located in Bøverdalen valley, right next to Jotunheimen National Park. It offers an in-house restaurant and rooms with mountain views. The location was great as it’s on the way and not at one end of Sognefjellet. The view was beautiful. Great starting point for walks. The food was fantastic. Great chef! The staff and owner were available and helpful, and ensure I had anything I needed. The room was simple and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The fireplace in the lobby area was great.

Situated in Skjolden and only 30 km from Urnes Stave Church, Eide gard features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property has city and inner courtyard views. The guesthouse was in a beautiful location, very cozy and clean from the inside. The host was absolutely nice and gave me a very warm welcome. Great Kitchen was clean and had everything to cook a nice meal (probably even more, since the guesthouse was formerly used as a restaurant).

Galde Uppigard is offering accommodation in Boverdalen. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. The location was absolutely amazing and hosts were incredibly nice! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Situated in Boverdalen in the Oppland region, Strind Gard, Visdalssetra features a patio and mountain views. The cabin was cozy and beautiful. The view was absolutely amazing! A group of young cows lived kind of freely on the mountain and it was so lovely to see them grazing right on the other side of the fence around the cabin. Loved it!

Set in Boverdalen and only 18 km from Lom stave church, Nørdre-Repp offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Nice place, friendly staff, good breakfast.
