Catlins Retreat B & B is situated in Owaka. Featuring garden and quiet street views, this guest house also includes free WiFi. Lovely and relaxing place to stay. We were warmly welcomed into a space that is comfortable and spacious. What I particularly liked was that there was attention given to details which may seem minor, but really do make a difference. Things such as having soft and fluffy towels, hot drink packets topped up daily, bathroom amenities and so forth. It is really convenient to the rest of the town, and is a great base for exploring the Catlins as the drive to various destinations is not too far and Owaka has a number of places to eat at. Definitely book in here!

Matt was very welcoming. The room was very well presented and comfortable. The grounds were gorgeous and there were comfortable lounges to sit on the porch. Such a unique cute Farmstay BandB.The lady owner Helen was really nice & all the lovely extra touches were appreciated .We enjoyed the beautiful green pastoral outlook,so peaceful.Slept well & an excellent breakfast left for us to have at our leisure.Not far from Owaka township..You will NOT be disappointed when choosing to stay here.

Kaka Point apartments was an exceptional property. It was like a model home. Beautifully furnished, clean, modern bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee, towels etc. The view from the apartment was stunning. We watched a sea lion on the beach one evening. We kept the curtains open at night so we could see the nighttime sky. It was just a short walk down to the beach. Wish we had stayed longer. Everything was perfect and even better than that.
