Hosts are so lovely and clearly like speaking with travellers. Very relaxed vibes. Really enjoyed driving there and back. Loved the sunrise.

A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Great location at the foot of a big dune, while still being reachable by a normal car (no 4x4 needed). Beautiful setup with tents and little houses, very clean and spacious. The staff is amazing, would do anything for you. The food is fine, and there is enough for everyone. I liked the open roof shower, especially at night as you could see the moon and stars! The camp is more affordable in comparison with other camps in the area, but the activities have crazy prices. We ended up not booking a any acricitiy at the camp, but enjoyed the stars after the lights go off and woke up early to walk up the dune. Took us about 15min to walk all the way up for sunrise.

Situated in Bidiyah, Moon Light Camp features accommodation with seating area. The campground has family rooms. All units have a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. I must highly recommend Moon Light Camp for everyone who is looking for the real desert experience in Oman! The tent is beyond my imagination. It was very clean, tidy, especially the bed is very cozy! We booked the dinner and breakfast as well. Trust me those are super valuable! There's a solar USB charger inside the tend so don't worry about the power. We enjoyed the sunset, sunrise. Don't miss the night starry sky! That will be one of the most memorable experience in your life!

The camp is located not too close from the nearest village, offering an immersive desert experience. The tents are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and so is the dining area. The staff is helpful, kind and efficient and agreeing pick up was really easy. The buffet was generous with a good and tasty selection of food. The camp offers activities like camel riding and dune safari. We enjoyed both very much. The greatest plus of this camp is that, compared to other structures who might have more of a hotel feel, gives the travellers a authentic and close to nature experience. We would go back and we will recommend it to family and friends.
