At the foot of the São Jorge Mountains, Hotel Solmar is less than 100 metres from the coastline. Its air-conditioned rooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean, Calheta Harbour or mountains. The room was clean and very spacious, equipped with an a/c which was very welcome in July. :) The location is great, close by a supermarket and restaurants. Good breakfast!

Varandas do Basalto has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Queimada. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. The apartment is very comfortable with plentyspace, the owner was very kind and helpful. Very well located.

Cantinho do Piano is situated in Velas. The property has sea and garden views. The guest house features family rooms. Location, cleanliness, friendly staff. Everything!

Retiro Atlântico is located in Urzelina. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy a meal on an outdoor dining area while overlooking the sea... I loved everything about our stay. The yurt was a one of a kind experience & it being in between all that green made it even more special. Every morning there was a fresh homemade breakfast with products they grew themselves. We got good tips for places to visit & help whenever we needed. I would recommend this place to everyone & if we ever return to São Jorge, then we will definitely book here again. Natacha, thank you for everything! It was a pleasure to be your guest.

Located in Calheta, Abrigo da Cascata - Casas de Campo - São Jorge offers a garden, free WiFi, a shared kitchen, and a housekeeping service. The place is amazing on a remote location right on the ocean. Very nicely made and beautifully decorated rooms and the whole complex. It's a small complex of 5 rooms. It really offers tranquility and serenity and you can enjoy nature and the ocean. Had breakfast and dinner on the terrace listening to the waga waga birds talking to each other and the waves of the ocean. Really an amazing place. The staff is great and Silvia and her team were very welcoming and helpful. They helped carrying the luggage and even prepared packed breakfast when we left as we were leaving early. Very friendly and also provided useful information about things to do on the island. We had dinner there and it was amazing.Also tried the local wine (Atlantis) which was also great. Definately the place to stay if you are visiting Sao Jorge and you are looking for something special. It should be noted that the place is remote and you have to take a dirty road and park the car 450m away but it definitely worths it.

Quinta da Magnólia AR is situated in Urzelina and has a private pool and pool views. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. Loved absolutely everything! Best hotel bed I've ever slept on, great views and excellent staff

A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Urzelina, Casa d'Avó Guesthouse and Apartment is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. What I liked the most was the space available for the clients. Large kitchen and large patio . The staff was polite, discreet and helpful. The cleanliness and the comfort of guests were a top priority for Victor who came to meet the guests several times. Very appreciated.
