The kitchen has everything you need, and the house is comfortable and suitable for families with children, who were very enthusiastic about what is inside the house and the facilities outside and the green surroundings. The host is a generous man who happily provides everything the house has to offer, and the house has a lot to offer: organic vegetables from the home garden, real peace, impressive nature and a sky full of stars. To our delight, we received from the owner a large jar of honey, made by himself, which was produced from the flowers in the areas surrounding the house. The drive to the house requires driving on winding roads in the forest, and arriving at night can be a bit challenging.

This property is fantastic. The hot tub, sauna, and fireplace were exactly what we wanted. The privacy of the location and the amazing views were a much enjoyed extra. The small cabin is also impressively stocked. We did a bit of cooking and had access to every kitchen tool we could want. My wife and I were very comfortable and will certainly be staying there again!

I always love a place with a story and this is definitely one - The restaurant and a hotel is run by the same family for generations, so you are staying in an authentic, hospitable and caring 100% true Slovenian home. The food in the restaurant (cooked by the son Tomi and served by his girlfriend) is also a treat. I had a deer goulash with traditional handmade dumplings and being a proud Czech, I can honestly and openly state wow - it was freaking good. I also joined locals for a few beers in the evening and even though they speak little English, I had tons of fun and they have taken care of me like I was one of their own. If you're not afraid to ingest a bit of Slovenian culture, stay at Tratnik and you'll have a really nice time. Guaranteed. (Also, check the view out of the room's window)

We stayed here with a family of seven. The hostel is located in a picturesque place. The food here is very tasty. We ordered dinner and breakfast and everything was great. Special thanks for the early breakfast. Since we had to leave early in the morning, breakfast was arranged for us very early.
