The swimmingpool was just perfect. Nice (warm) water and amazing views.. the bungalows were very good with a nice view and all basics (safe, frigerator, airco). Nice staff and good service. The resort was a walking distance from the main road with restaurants. Only one we found with a good selection of vegetarian food (food art hut) about 20 minutes walk.

Offering direct access to beautiful Ao Kratueng Beach, Makathanee Resort is located on the island of Koh Mak. Guestrooms and the outdoor pool are set within tropical landscaped gardens. It was so well located. For one thing, it was on the correct side of the island for clear water and the resort has a pier that you can use to take a boat to the marine reserve. A must do!

Located in Ko Mak, a 7-minute walk from Ao Soun Yai Beach, Hanoii House has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Fantastic accommodation on Koh Mak. The rooms are great, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and toiletries. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden in front of the rooms where you can sit and sunbathe. It is walking distance from the speedboat pier from Koh Chang, though the hotel staff will meet you at the pier and bring you to the accommodation. You can walk to lots of restaurants, cafes, massage and kiosks from here. Cheap and easy scooter rental from the accommodation also. Overall, it is a great base to explore the island, where it is quiet, central and also away from the sand flies at the beaches.

The Hut Koh Mak Sea View offers accommodations in Ko Mak, one mile from Police Station. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi. If you're considering a trip to Koh Mak, this is your ideal stay! Nestled right on Oh Nid Pier, this delightful hut is just a three-minute walk from where you arrive and offers stunning beachfront views. You can listen to the soothing sounds of the waves all day—it’s incredibly relaxing and chill. The location is excellent since the island is small, allowing you to reach any destination within a maximum of 15 minutes on a motorbike. This place offers privacy and a personal retreat when you want to step back from the communal island life. The facilities truly stand out. Upon arrival, I was captivated by the expansive outdoor area, which includes a large patio right on the beach and a spacious balcony with a big dining table (perfect for game nights and inviting new friends over). There’s even an outdoor bed to relax on after a day at the beach. The room itself is quite large, comfortable, and surrounded by big windows that offer panoramic sea views. The bathroom is adequately sized with hot water, and basic toiletries are provided. The kitchen is well-equipped with a kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave, dishes, and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Moreover, the landlady, So (Natida), is wonderful. Booking this place not only means a great stay but also getting to know So. She goes above and beyond—from arranging bike rentals delivered right to your door to handling your laundry and maintaining the cleanliness of the hut. So is always there for her guests, genuinely caring about your experience and offering help whenever needed. She's truly a special person. Note that I initially planned to stay for 14 days and ended up extending it to 45 days. That’s how perfect this place and the island are!

Fantastic location! Even on a very windy day, this little bay is protected, calm and swimmable. They do a good job of keeping the beach clean right here. Beautiful spot for sunsets. Excellent breakfast buffet with both Thai and western options. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Got two lovely Thai massages for a very good price. I recommend the beach bungalows, worth a splurge to be there instead of the hotel rooms. Koh Mak is magical…

The owner and her assistant (a very nice guy, unfortunately I don't remember his name) are very kind. This guy gave us a lot of useful tips on restaurants and made our stay on Koh Mak better. We rented a motorbike for 200 baht per day and at the end of our stay the owner took us to the boat and arranged everything. Thank you very much. PS: I must also highlight that you have very comfortable beds.
Every thing was perfect The staff are very nine and helpfull The food was great The beach, the pool view We arrived to the hotel with 4 years kid and a baby, the they brought a new baby cot, and every thin we needed for our child, Our child was injered and needed a clinic visit, the hotel driver took him wth my husband few times. Great gem on Koh Mak. Absolutely stunning location. We stayed in a beach villa which was metres from the sea. It was really relaxed and peaceful. Can hire scooters and electric buggies to explore Island and visit different bars and restaurants. First time on Koh Mak and it was stunning, so much nicer than the busier places in Thailand. Totally unspoilt.

We loved our stay here! Jake’s shakes and coconut coffees are awesome. Ultra relaxed atmosphere! The bungalows are really beautiful, lots of wood. Shower is great, with rain shower and massage head. The bed is awesome! Comfiest bed in Thailand, with a spectacular view. Also the food on Koh Mak is so fresh and delicious, why is no one talking about that!

Truly the most upmarket place on Koh Mak. Breakfast was perfect and the beds were comfy what is pretty rare in Thailand. Within 10 days we stayed in both the standard and the beach front Sala Villa. Both rooms were stylish decorated and super spacious. Big thanks to Naszi. She was very kind and we could contact her anytime for any request.
A nice, basic bungalow on a beautiful natural beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent with short walk to local bars/restaurants in best area of Koh Mak in my opinion. All in all a very nice place but a few extras would have made it perfect.
We had a large room, clean, swimming pool was nice and decent maintained park. Location easy as most places are in the small Koh Mak of course!
The place was filled with peaceful and heart warming staffs. Our room was nothing we could have imagined but was clean and comfortable. Overall loved our stay. You can rent scooter from the hotel for 250 bhat a day. Highly recommended.
The stuff from the resort was amazing.Lot of greats to Mooooon, Mr. Nick... thank you for everything. I miss you. See you next time there.😘🌴
Lovely hotel with clean and big bungalows. Amazing sunrise. Breakfast was good.
loneliness no noise no ppl, very romantic, the pool is incredible, room is absolutely perfect
So beautiful amazing amenities the sweetest staff 10/10 five stars!
I loved being on the quiet side of the island, easy enough to ride a bike to the action Food was excellent for a vegetarian, sure the meat and seafood great too, but I would t know! Room was so well designed. Views amazing! Wish was a way to access the water for swimming, would be only thing would have liked to swim more easily Just loved the room! Stayed all over Koh Mak and your place my fav room!
simple but clean and spacious room. All rooms have a little balcony where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. You get exactly what they advertise. The bad reviews are not justified! It's a bit off the grid but they rent out scooters and organise a taxi when needed.
