Friendly owner offered cold bottle of water up front, gave good hints for eating and surrounding sightseeing. New furnished room was comfortable. Hot springs close by. Excellent starting point to explore ancient bristle cone pine area (easy ride in 3/4 of an hour on paved roads) at 9000ft elevation.

Located along scenic Highway 395, Independence Courthouse Motel is just 5 minutes’ walk from Inyo County Eastern California Museum. Guests can take advantage of free WiFi and BBQ facilities. The host is really kind and helpful. He waited for us after check in time and gave us a recommendation for a really nice diner nearby. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Good location to explore Death valley & the Alabama hills.

Just off of US 395, less than a 20-minute drive from Bishop, this motel features a gas station and convenience store on site. The rooms include free Wi-Fi. The room was very spacious and the beds were also comfortable. Everything was clean and the bathroom even had a great quality conditioner. The kitchen is fully equipped and the firdge was huge. Everything you might need is available at the gas station market. Nice check in and check out process. Right across the street is a great dinner place and a breakfast place.
