Located on 3,000 acres in the centre of the Allegheny Mountains in Hot Springs, Virginia. The Omni Homestead Resort provides accommodation with a terrace, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. I took my daughter who is a graduating senior for two days. The main objective was to let her experience the spa. When she was younger and we went to the Homestead she always wanted to go to this was a right of passage. It was not that crowded being the first couple days after Mother’s Day and during the first of the week. That was a plus for us as nothing was very crowded. There were some construction going on at the hotel which is expected they are in a major redo but nothing was too disturbing. The spa was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We ate in the Jefferson dining room and the food was excellent. We did not up for the large breakfast in the main dining room the morning that we checked out, but instead ate at the little café which was more than adequate with breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The weather was great the ambience was good and I must say I’ve been to the Homestead multiple times and this is probably my favorite trip ever. It gets a little busy during the holidays and over the summer so this was an excellent time to go. I plan on going this time again next year to avoid the more crowded times. But as always the staff is very professional and courteous and everything just clicked!
