The property is located in a small village in the Mai Chau valley, with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms we booked was large, the AC worked perfectly, the WIFI was strong and it was very comfortable. The host was easy to reach via Whatsapp and helped with any questions we had. She booked bikes for us to rent, and helped arrange for our van to Hanoi to pick us up at the homestay instead of having to book a taxi to the bus stop in town. Best of all, the meals we had were absolutely delicious, especially the dinners, which catered to our vegetarian diet and included tofu, vegetable and rice dishes, as well as fruit for dessert.

It's definitely a perfect 10/10. Seldom do I submit a review before I leave, but this is an exception as it's an exceptional homestay/hotel with extremely excellent hosts. It feels as if you're good friends (even a relative) rather than a paying guest (not to mention the price is a bargain)...the genuine service is that good and outstanding. It honestly feels like you are staying with family who have decked out their house to not only make your stay comfortable and enjoyable but have catered to avoid their "friends" from getting bored. Now, over my decades of travelling I have stayed in some lavish and very luxurious places (+500 USD per night and beyond), and although the places and services are impeccable, it still feels like you're only a paying guest and the kindness shown is part of their job and associated with the cost. This accommodation property truly does not, and their service, attention, and friendliness are genuine and from the heart. Within sensible reason, they have fitted out and included all the things a guest could want. For example; Covered, tiled large pool (with lights and a fountain) with male/female showering & toilet facilities....even an automatic flushing urinal for the men!! Balconies with cafe style seating. Pool table & ping pong table. A basketball court. An outside, covered, Karaoke lounge area. An enclosed and air-conditioned lounge room with large flatscreen TV & Hi-Fi system....away from the accommodation (for quietness). A sky deck with undercover sitting areas. A water fountain feature. A small playground area for little children. A Foosball table. All this and garden areas, sitting areas and mood lighting too. They have many different types of room to accommodate singles, couples, and families.

We visited Halo Retreat while touring Vietnam on our motorcycles. We had a fantastic stay and are very grateful to our host who guided us to a mechanic to fix an issue with one of our bikes. Our room was clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable, the evening meal we had was delicious and I have high praise for our friendly and helpful hosts. I also enjoyed the location, which was peaceful and close to nature. Many thanks for a rememberable stay.

Mai Chau Mountain View Resort er með ókeypis reiðhjól, árstíðabundna útisundlaug, garð og veitingastað í Mai Chau. Þetta 4 stjörnu hótel er með bar. Fantastic view of the mountain from the pool. The services were top notch, and the massage we had from the spa was really needed after a long day hanging around beautiful Mai Chau. Our room was very beautiful. Parking space was large. Staff were super nice. Dinner was also great. All in all, highly recommend!

Adorable homestay tucked away on the outskirts of Mai Chau. Quiet, clean and the staff were very helpful. Delicious meal. Great value for price.

Mai Chau Ecolodge er umkringt fjöllum og hrísgrjónaökrum og býður upp á nútímaleg herbergi og svítur með útsýni og ókeypis WiFi. Everything was FANTASTIC! We enjoyed our stay so much. It’s exactly like the pictures and the staff is so friendly. Greatly enjoyed the night dance as well. recommended for sure

We absolutely loved our stay at Mai Chau! The team treated us like family, even making us home woven scarves on our departure. The retreat is so so beautiful and peaceful, we wish we had stayed longer but can’t wait to go back some day! And even though we went during off season it was still stunning here (next time we’ll be back for warmer weather to utilize the outdoor pools). One of the highlights of our trip was biking around with Ung and seeing the village and the beautiful landscapes of the area (HIGHLY recommend)
