Such a warm welcome from the very first moment. Excellent accommodation, outstanding range of wildlife and excellent food. Wonderful breakfast on the balcony overlooking elephants at the watering hole. Could not be more perfect. Ranger, Rayno, was so professional and with such great expertise. Made the whole experience simply perfect. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for a great stay.

Burlington Bush Cottages by The Oyster Collection is set in Salem, 7 km from Viewpoint - Salem and 7 km from Salem Cricket Club. Some units feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. the cottage is stunning with a lot of attention to detail, staff is really polite.

Situated in Grahamstown, 1.2 km from 1820 Settlers Monument, The Graham Hotel features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a shared lounge and a bar. Very good hotel, very friendly staff. Everything was ok. The hotel prepared a take away breakfast for us as we had to leave very early the next morning and couldn't use the buffet.

The 5-star Pumba Private Game Reserve lodge has views from a private wooden deck overlooking Lake Kariega or the African bush. This place is a gem in South Africa! We have very high expectations and travelled to many places around the world. This one exceeded our expectations. It is so well organized and the staff is very attentive (without being annoying) and friendly, so that you can really enjoy the whole stay and just focus on the nature surrounding you. The game drives are exciting and some of the animals can be observed at very close distances. They even serve drinks and tasty food at the end of each game drive. They also accommodate people with gluten / diary allergy very well (even when they serve snacks). Both lodges look stunning and provide an authentic african vibe and look. Some of the interior furnuture may be already a bit older, but due to the high quality materials - such as real leather or solid wood - it still looks and feels good. The food and especially the meat they serve is really high quality (go for the wild meat). On top of that they offer a variety of activities such as a bush walk (which I highly recommend), archery or stargazing.

Tranquillity, facilities, the views! Pictures of the places are excellent, yet I still managed to be blown away upon arrival. The hosts are friendly and interactive with regular updates. You feel very much at home.
