Set in Graaff-Reinet, The Whyte House features air-conditioned rooms. Among the various facilities are a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared lounge, with a TV. This guesthouse excels. It was a truly beautiful experience staying here. We felt we could have stayed for a month and would love to come back. The place exudes a feeling of utter peace. We loved the breakfast and sitting room, the deep verandah, the comfy chairs, the welcoming fire, plenty of old books and magazines to peruse and a view of the mountains from our bedroom window. Not to mention a very comfortable bed with high quality linen. Also a very good recommendation for dinner at a near by restaurant called the Pioneer.

Boasting a garden and views of inner courtyard, Acacia Home is a recently renovated guest house set in Graaff-Reinet, 15 km from Valley of Desolation. The hostess was exceptional. She contacted us directly after our booking was madefrom and even booked a restaurant in town. Breakfast was good and made at the time we requested. Rooms was very clean and decorated with so much detail.

Situated in Graaff-Reinet and only 14 km from Valley of Desolation, CatsWhiskers features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was more than we expected. We had the whole 2 bedroom house to ourselves, even though it was just the two of us. Spacious rooms, squeaky clean and very well equipped for self catering. In a quiet and secure part of town. Good wifi. Landlady made good recommendations for sights, restaurnats etc. She responded immediately when we had questions. Very generous with complimentary coffee, tea, rusks and cookies, water and juice! Secure parking behind electronic gate. Most beautiful garden and huge patios (one covered) to relax on for your evening BBQ. Book at least three nights to explore Graaff Reinette (Excellent museums, restaurants and shops) and surroundings....valley of Desolation, Camdeboo National park and Nieu-Bethesda. Home from home, for sure!

Featuring quiet street views, The River Bend Cottages features accommodation with patio, around 14 km from Valley of Desolation. Beautiful cottage in a quiet corner of town with tree-lined streets. Secure parking. Seating on porch. Spacious and stylish interior with well-equipped kitchen, lounge area and separate bedroom. Bed was very comfortable. There is information and maps of things to do in the area. Good communication with host. Highly recommended.

Offering mountain views, Toni's Cottage is an accommodation located in Graaff-Reinet, less than 1 km from Graaff-Reinet Railway Station and a 14-minute walk from Reinet House Museum. Toni is an exceptional host and pays a lot of attention to detail. Our doggies and cat was well accommodated and we all slept very comfortably. A very good stop over spot after a long day's driving. Toni kept in contact the whole time to ensure that she is ready for when we arrived. Provisions were also made for loadshedding. And the breakfast was amazing!
