This family-run estate spread across 20-acres offers accommodation in Masinagudi at the foothills of the Nilgiris. Everything was perfect. I decided to go here after reading all the amazing reviews about this place, vibe, hospitality and food. And it did not disappoint :) The deers are everywhere!! We opted to go for the bird watching activity and the guide was extremely well versed with all the birds. They also have freshly made jams and pickles for sale. I love the fact that this place felt so homely and they employ the local folk from the nearby village. If you're lucky, you might end up spotting elephants or bears.

Chidambaram Villas - A Luxury Heritage Resort is located in Chettinad, within 5 km from Thirumayam Fort and Thirumayam Railway Station. We had a wonderful stay at Chidambara Vilas. The heritage building has been restored with a lot of love and the results are plain to see. Every staff member went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent too. Special thanks to Dinesh. The hotel has a lovely pool and the rooms on the first floor overlooking the pool have a huge verandah that is great to sit on. My kids especially enjoyed the games room that was very thoughtfully designed with several different games and comfortable seating, very different from the sad single foosball table that other hotels provide by way of "activities". I wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is conveniently located for visiting Athangudi and Kanadakathan where there are many old Chettinad buildings, as well as the small factories making Athangudi tiles. I hope we can come back soon.

This eco-friendly hotel enjoys a scenic location between the Veera Chozha and Cauverey Rivers in Southern India's Tanjore District. Beautiful and serene property designed in the traditional style of Tamil architecture. The gardens are amazing and the peacocks add a colorful but noisy additional touch! The staff are very warm and friendly and quick to respond to requests. The food is also quite delicious - fresh organic fruit and veggies. They make the food only after you order so it takes a while but is worth the wait. We couldn’t try the Ayurvedic treatments as our schedule was very tight but as we plan to come back that’s ok. The quaint tea kadai was a lovely experience . We’d say this is a must stay place if you come to Kumbakonam!

The Breakfast was Excellent. We got whatever we asked for. We had Lunch and Dinner also there. The Host was in contact with us right from the time we booked guiding us in all aspects. We checked in late but the Host Mr. Prasanna called us and asked what we need for Lunch and things were already for us when we reached there. Location was very beautiful and amidst Nature. We had more than what we expected. We got more value for our money. Host Mr. Prasanna and staff were very cordial and pleasant. The Host gave us a total explanation of places to Visit, Distance and directions of the spots from the resort. We felt like We were at a Home Away from Home.
